The 112 is an element of the Government of India's Emergency Response Support System (ERSS).... If available, the system forwards the emergency alert to a nearby local support system such as Ambulance, Fire, Police, and other services.
112 dispatchers keep a log of police, fire, and EMS services using the Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD). It can be used to send messages to dispatchers using a mobile data terminal (MDT) or to store and retrieve data (i.e. radio logs, field interviews, client information, schedules, etc.). A dispatcher may use a two-way radio to announce the call details to field units. Some systems communicate using the selective calling features of a two-way radio system. Text messages containing call-for-service information may be sent by CAD systems to alphanumeric pagers or wireless telephony text services such as SMS.
Telephony System for Call Management
Call management is the initial stage of any emergency case. All calls made on 112 Toll Free number will be received and distributed among the first available agent in shortest waiting time through the IVR system.
Centralized CRM Application will cover call registration, dispatch of the ambulance/Vehicle, recording of consultation & comments, regular update on the case, inventory management and final verification by team leaders in the command center.
Real time GPS based tracking system will play vital role in Command Center Application. Command center can monitor movement of the ambulances/vehicles through real time tracking. This system will also help in spying the ambulances through “nearby drops” and “restricted” pickup and drop locations.
Integration with dial 100, 102, 108 and other call centers: Centralized CRM application will provide API endpoint to upload/download emergency calls made on dial 112. 112 control center team will categories particular call under 100, 102,104 or 108. Further respective system can download case data from 112 command center API. Other call centers like 108, 102, 104 or dial 100 will also upload case closure data on the 112 server using 112 server’s own API
Live tracking link to the patient/attendant: CRM software will share a tracking link with patient/attendant. Through this link, on the all popular mobile browsers, a map view will open and real time location of the ambulance/vehicle will be displayed. By this, patient/attendant can also help ambulance staff in locating the pickup point in shortest possible time.
Dashboard for Respective Ministry or Authority: This system will share real time effectiveness of dial 112 System with respective ministry or Authority in form of dashboard.
Citizen App for Dial 112: Citizen App can be downloaded from App Store or Play Store for both iOS and Android mobiles. It helps citizen to initiate emergency call in easy way with actual location data. This location data will help Control Center team to detect location of the caller.
