The passenger information system is an integrated service that uses vehicle tracking data to estimate departure and arrival times. At a predetermined frequency or on a bus movement basis, the central PIS sends ETA / ETD to fixed display devices mounted at bus stations. Commuters receive transportation information via electronic means such as a website, smartphone app, and SMS. This multi-channel commuter interface allows for speedy access to the transportation system and ensures that users see the public transit system as a safe and dependable option for their travel. To provide users with real-time information, the system is made up of the following units: Bus Station Display Screens Display screen on Bus Transit online site for Bus Schedule & ETA, SMS, Mobile App, and IVRS.
Automated Vehicle Locator System:
This system instals GPS tracking devices on buses and uses the data collected for tracking purposes. The AVLS system allows the operations team to monitor vehicle movement in real-time and provide data to public information solution devices such as bus stops, terminals, buses, customer portals, and mobile information delivery systems.
